NPECLC Secretariat

Prof. Richard Bani (National Programme Manager)
Prof. Richard Bani holds a PHD in Agricultural Engineering. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Agric Engineering with vast experience in Management and Enterprise Development.

Mamudu Kenneth (Programme Remediation Officer I)
Mamudu Kenneth has been in the development field since 1998. He started his development work with the Catholic Relief Services (CRS/Gh) as Programme Officer. The focus was on educational development and capacity building of District Education Officers, teachers and other education stakeholders. He has also worked with Care International, as Decentralization and Partnerships Advisor, with the EQUALL Project as Training Officer and he has taught in the Tamale College for 5 years, holding the positions of Head of the English Department and as Staff Secretary.

Currently, he is a Programme Remediation Officer (I) with the National Programme for the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour in Cocoa.

He occupied the position of acting National Programme Manager for the National Programe for the Elimination of Child Labour when the Manager's position was vacant. Mamudu has a deep interest in issues relating to education development, where much of his development expertise is centered. He is also interested in supporting the vulnerable in society, especially women empowerment and the elimination of child labour.

He has worked with different national and internal stakeholders and at different areas and levels and has experience in working with different people.

Ebenezer Otokunor Attoh (Programme Remediation Officer II)
Mr. Ebenezer Attoh is a career Civil Servant on secondment from the Office of the Head of Civil Servant (OHCS) as a Programme Remediation Officer; he has been on the Programme since 1ST September, 2010. His postings in the Civil Service have taken him through service in the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Youth and Sports and the OHCS. He is essentially an administrator but was exposed to youth management and development for over a decade at the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Since March, 2001 when he was posted to the OHCS, he has focused on Human Resource Management and, until his secondment as a Programme Remediation Officer for NPECLC, he was attached to the secretariat of the Civil Service Council.

Sam Atukwei (GCLMS Officer)
Mr. Sam Atukwei Quaye, National Coordinator of the Ghana Child Labour Monitoring System (GCLMS) for the Programme. He has vast experience in Human Resource Management, Entrepreneurship and Leadership. Mr. Sam Atukwei Quaye holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Philosophy and is currently pursuing an Executive Masters (Major: Project Management) in Business Administration at the University of Ghana Business School, Legon.

Safiyatu Abubakr-Bibilazu (Monitoring and Evaluation Officer)
Ms. Safiyatu Abubakr-Bibilazu is a Community Nutritionist with expertise in child protection and development project planning, monitoring and evaluation, and Gender mainstreaming in development. She is bilingual, has experience working with Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs), Local Government.

Frank Yeboah Asuamah (Programme Assistant)
Frank Yeboah Asuamah joined the National Programme for the Elimination of the Worst forms of Child Labour in Cocoa, (NPECLC) in November 2007 as a National Service Person under the communication Unit of the Programme.

Evelyn Owusu Ansah (Programme Assistant)
Evelyn Owusu Ansah has been with the NPECLC since 2007 to date. She did her National Service with the National Programme and joined the team as a Programme Assistant under the Monitoring and Evaluation Unit and the Communication Unit of the NPECLC. She pursued Social Work (Major) with Sociology (Minor) at the University of Ghana – Legon (2003 -2007). Her studies in Human Rights in Social Work Practice, Working with Children, Gender Issues, Administration, and Community Entry Techniques have deepened her interest in the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour. Whilst in school, she had the opportunity to do field work with the Department of Social Welfare (Ashanti Region) and Concurrent Field Work with the University of Ghana Primary school (Legon).

Justice K. Safo (Programme Assistant)
Justice Safo joined the NPECLC in 2007/8 as a national service person and was confirmed a full staff in 2008. He has played administrative, communication, program development and monitoring roles. He has also represented the NPECLC in appropriate functions including making presentations on the Ghana Child Labour Monitoring System (GCLMS). Have competencies in project Implementation and Management and abilities in monitoring and verifying efforts to eliminate exploitation of children, especially in the cocoa sub sector. He is currently an Assistant Programme Officer assigned to the GCLMS unit of the NPECLC.

Alexander Gyedu (Programme Assistant)
Alexander is a Development Worker with knowledge in child protection and project implementation. He has competencies in community mobilization, participatory methodologies, process consultation and networking. He has a strong conceptual and analytical skill and has a good understanding of contemporary development issues facing Ghana and the operations of local organizations, Civil Society Organizations and District Assemblies. He is an excellent team player and a consensus builder.

Gabriel Tetteh (Programme Assitant) He graduated from the University of Ghana with a first degree in Economics. Gabriel Tetteh joined the Programme as M&E Assistant and is also in charge of updating the Programme's website. He is a very reliable person with a positive self-concept and has experience in data collection exercises and programme organisations.

Adisatu Moro Maiga (Programme Assitant) From a sociological background, Adisatu holds a vast experience in human and behavioural relations. She is competent in developmental works and currently with the NPECLC as a Programme Assistant under the GCLMS

Barbara Matthews (Programme Assistant)
Barbara Matthews holds a first degree in Psychology from the University of Ghana, Legon. She is a good team player with very good human relations and has excellent communication skill. She has vast experience in human resource/administration and she is currently under the GCLMS unit of the NPECLC as a Programme Assistant.

Theophilus Addico Tetteh (Programme Assistant)
Theophilus Addico Tetteh is a graduate from the University of Cape Coast with bachelor degree in Philosophy and English. He has a clear, logical mind with practical approach to problem solving and has a drive to see things through to completion. He enjoys working on his own initiative or in a team. He is reliable, trustworthy, hardworking and eager to learn. Theophilus is a Programme Assistant with the Monitoring and Evaluation Unit of the NPECLC.
